“안전이 최우선인데…” 도 넘은 지적질에 시민들 ‘싸늘’
시민 안전 위한 ‘긴급 보수’ 취지 몰각한 정치 공세라는 비판 일어
더불어민주당 서다운 대전시의원 예비후보(서구 갈마1·2동, 용문동, 탄방동)가 대전시의 원촌육교 전면 통제로 발생한 서구 일대 교통 정체 사태를 두고 시의 행정력을 강력히 비판하고 나섰다.
그러나 시민들 사이에서는 안전을 위한 긴급 조치를 정치적으로 이용하고 있다는 비난 섞인 목소리도 나오고 있다.
서다운 예비후보는 31일, 원촌육교 통제 여파로 극심한 정체를 빚고 있는 큰마을네거리 등 현장을 찾아 대전시의 준비 부족을 질타했다.
서 후보는 “현장에 경찰 인력이 배치되어 고군분투 중이었으나 밀려드는 차량을 감당하기엔 역부족이었다”며 “특정 교차로의 문제를 넘어 서구 전체가 마비된 심각한 수준”이라고 진단했다.
서 후보는 이번 사태를 ‘무능 행정’으로 규정하며, 안전을 위한 통제는 이해하나 충분한 우회로 안내나 인력 배치가 이뤄지지 않아 시민들의 고통이 가중됐다고 주장했다.
그는 서구청 교통과 등에 협조를 구하는 등 대응에 나서는 한편, “시민들의 인내에만 맡길 것이 아니라 실시간 분산 대책을 즉각 시행하라”고 시를 압박했다.
