충남 내포신도시의 정주 여건을 획기적으로 개선하고 서남부권 소아 의료 공백을 해소할 ‘내포어린이병원’이 본격적인 공사에 들어갔다.
충남도는 31일 홍성군 홍북읍 내포신도시 의료시설용지에서 김태흠 지사와 이강영 세브란스병원장, 지역 주민 등 400여 명이 참석한 가운데 내포어린이병원 기공식을 개최했다. 이번 기공식은 내포신도시 종합의료시설 건립의 1단계 사업으로, 2028년 완공 및 개원을 목표로 한다.
충남도가 직접 건립을 주도하는 내포어린이병원은 총 사업비 487억 원이 투입된다. 6,000㎡ 부지에 지하 1층, 지상 3층 규모(연면적 5,326㎡)로 지어지며, 내부에는 소아 전용 응급실을 비롯해 7개의 진료실과 42개의 입원 병상을 갖출 예정이다.
