30년 넘은 노후 배수관 민원 해소 위해 ‘정밀여과장치’ 전격 도입
4월 2일부터 신도안 2500세대 우선 혜택… 5월 엄사지구까지 확대

충남 계룡시가 노후 상수도 관로로 인해 불편을 겪어온 신도안면 일대에 최신 정밀여과장치를 설치하고, 내달 2일부터 본격적인 청정 수돗물 공급에 들어간다.
이번 조치는 30년 이상 경과한 노후 배수관을 통과하며 발생하는 ‘붉은 수돗물(적수)’ 민원을 근본적으로 해결하기 위한 것으로, 시가 역점 추진 중인 ‘2026년 주요 정책사업’의 일환이다.
계룡시는 맑은 물 공급을 앞당기기 위해 신도안지구와 엄사지구 각 1개소에 정밀여과장치 설치를 추진해 왔다. 지난해 12월 착공한 이 사업은 당초 올해 5월 준공 예정이었으나, 시는 신도안지구 공사를 우선 마무리해 4월 2일부터 조기 공급을 결정했다.
