세종특별자치시가 시민들의 일상 속에 문화를 깊숙이 이식하기 위해 파격적인 변화를 시도한다.
이를 위해 세종시는 내달 1일부터 기존 매월 마지막 주 수요일에 시행되던 ‘문화가 있는 날’을 매주 수요일로 전격 확대 운영하며, 시민 중심의 문화 향유 기반 강화에 나선다고 밝혔다.
이번 조치는 문화기본법 시행령 개정에 발맞춘 것으로, 특정일에만 편중됐던 일회성 행사 중심에서 벗어나 시민들이 매주 수요일을 자연스럽게 ‘문화 즐기는 날’로 인식하도록 유도하기 위한 취지다.
세종시는 세종음악창작소와 이응다리 등 지역 내 주요 거점을 활용해 시민 참여형 프로그램을 대폭 늘린다. 확대 시행 첫날인 내달 1일에는 세종음악창작소에서 ‘바이닐로 듣는 수요음감회(LP)’ 무료 공연이 열려 변화의 서막을 알린다.
