이재명 대통령이 1일 프라보워 수비안토 인도네시아 대통령과의 정상회담에서 "인도네시아는 한국 기업 첫 해외 투자처였으며 오늘날 K 방산을 있게 한 소중한 파트너"라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대에서 열린 프라보워 대통령과의 한·인도네시아 정상회담 모두 발언에서 이같이 말한 후 "인도네시아 첫 번째 전기차 생산을 한국 기업이 함께하기도 했다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "중동 전쟁 여파로 양국 에너지 공급망은 물론 역내 경제에 미칠 충격이 크게 우려되는 상황"이라며 "이번 위기가 양국 경제·국민 삶에 미칠 영향이 최소화되도록 안정적 에너지 공급·자원 안보 관련 협력을 확대해 나갈 필요성이 매우 크다"고 했다.
이어 "인도네시아가 액화천연가스(LNG)·석탄 등 주요 에너지원의 안정 역할을 해 주는 것에 무척 든든하게 생각하고 있다"며 "양국은 수교 이후 지난 50여년간 각자 가진 강점·지혜·신뢰를 바탕으로 서로 이끌고 밀어주며 함께 걸어온 신뢰할 수 있는 친구·소중한 동반자였다"고 했다.
또 "급변하는 국제 질서 속 양국 간 협력은 더욱 빛을 발하게 될 것"이라며 "최근 레바논 폭발 사고로 인도네시아 국적 유엔평화유지군 대원이 희생된 것에 깊은 애도를 표한다"고 덧붙였다.
프라보워 대통령은 "한국은 뛰어난 산업 능력 과학기술이 있으며 인도네시아는 풍부한 자원·큰 시장이 있다"며 "서로에 보완적 역할을 할 수 있다"고 했다.
또 "둘 다 중견국이기에 국제사회 평화·안정을 매우 중요하게 생각하고 있다"며 "이 평화·안정을 유지하기 위해 튼튼한 안보·국방이 필요하다는 점에 같은 생각"이라고 했다.
그러면서 "이번 국빈 방문 시기는 전 세계적으로 불확실성이 높아지고 있는 그런 안타까운 상황"이라며 "그렇기 때문에 양국 간 관계가 더욱 중요하다 생각한다"고 덧붙였다.
