충남도가 자원봉사 활동의 현장 기반을 강화하기 위해 읍면동 자원봉사 거점캠프 운영 방식을 전면 개편한다.
충남도는 1일 충남공감마루에서 도와 시·군 담당자 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 읍면동 자원봉사 거점캠프 간담회’를 열고, 거점캠프의 기능 재정립과 성과 중심 평가체계 도입 방안을 논의했다.
현재 도내에는 126곳의 거점캠프가 운영되고 있으며, 지역 내 자원봉사 수요와 공급을 잇는 생활권 플랫폼 역할을 맡고 있다. 그러나 그동안 시·군의 자율 운영에 맡겨지면서 지역별 운영 수준의 편차가 발생해왔고, 이에 대한 제도적 보완이 필요하다는 의견이 꾸준히 제기돼왔다.
도는 이러한 문제를 해소하고 자원봉사 활성화를 촉진하기 위해 올해부터 성과 중심 평가체계를 도입한다.
평가 항목은 사업 성과 확산을 위한 홍보 노력 ,시군 특화 프로그램 운영 ,자원봉사 수요-공급 연계 ,신규 자원봉사자 발굴 등 7개 분야로 구성된다. 올해는 시범평가 형태로 현장과 서면평가를 병행하고, 2027년부터는 본격 평가와 함께 우수 시·군에 인센티브를 부여할 계획이다.
이날 간담회 참석자들은 지역 여건에 맞는 프로그램 발굴과 운영 모델 개발, 성과 공유 방안 등을 논의했다. 충남도는 간담회에서 제시된 의견을 반영해 현장 중심의 실효성 있는 캠프 운영 체계를 갖추고, 주민이 가까운 생활권에서 자원봉사에 참여할 수 있는 기반을 강화해 나가기로 했다.
충남도 관계자는 “이번 논의는 읍면동 거점캠프의 역할을 다시 정립하는 의미 있는 계기였다”며 “앞으로 지역 특성에 맞춘 운영을 통해 도민 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 자원봉사 문화가 정착되도록 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
