대전시가 민선 8기 핵심 가치인 '일류 경제도시' 도약을 위해 올해 4만 6천여 개의 일자리를 새로 만들겠다는 공격적인 청사진을 내놨다.
대전시는 2일, 지역 여건에 최적화된 고용 정책을 시민에게 약속하는 '2026년도 지역일자리 공시제' 세부 추진계획을 확정하고 본격 가동에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
이를 위해 대전시는 올해 총 3263억 원의 대규모 예산을 투입해 4만 6441개의 일자리 창출과 15~64세 기준 고용률 69.2% 달성을 최우선 목표로 삼았다.
특히 이번 계획은 단순한 숫자 늘리기가 아닌 '타깃형 고용'에 초점을 맞췄다. 청년 고용률 44.8%, 여성 고용률 61.8%라는 구체적인 지표를 설정해 인구 구조 변화와 지역 특성에 맞는 정밀한 행정력을 집중할 계획이다.
대전시는 이를 실현하기 위해 민간 주도의 혁신 일자리 창출 미래 주역인 청년 성장 지원 ,계층별 맞춤형 취업 지원 ,지역 특화 자원 활용 ,고용 거버넌스 강화 등 5대 전략 171개 사업을 본궤도에 올린다.
특히 대전만의 강점인 세계적 수준의 과학기술 인프라를 신산업 일자리로 연결해 일자리의 질적 수준을 한 단계 끌어올린다는 전략이다.
대전의 고용 지표는 이미 상승세를 타고 있다는게 대전시의 분석이다.
대전시의 청년 일자리 종합정책에 힘입어 2024년 43.4%였던 청년고용률은 지난해 45.0%까지 치솟으며 정책의 실효성을 증명했다.
