(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천원미경찰서가 지난 1일 어린이 교통사고 예방과 안전한 통학로 조성을 위한 ‘2026년 녹색어머니 연합회 발대식’을 개최하고 본격적인 활동을 시작했다고 밝혔다.
부천원미서에 따르면, 이번 발대식은 관내 초등학교 4개교 녹색어머니 회장단과 회원, 경찰관 등 15명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며, 올 한 해 어린이들의 등하교 시간대 교통 지도와 캠페인 활동의 결의를 다지기 위해 마련됐다.
행사는 녹색어머니 회원 위촉장 수여, 개정 도로교통법 교육 · 홍보영상 시청, 어린이 교통안전 협력 방안 논의 순으로 진행됐다.
녹색어머니 연합회 회장(신재희) 및 임원들은 ‘아이들이 안심하고 다닐 수 있는 등굣길을 만드는 것이 우리 모두의 책임’이라는 데 뜻을 모으고, 스쿨존 내 서행 및 불법주정차 근절 등 교통안전 문화 확산에 앞장설 것을 다짐했다.
김형률 부천원미경찰서장은 “매일 아침 아이들의 안전을 위해 헌신하시는 녹색 어머니 노고에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며, “부천원미경찰서 또한 스쿨존 내 교통 시설물 점검 및 법규위반 단속 강화하여, 어린이들이 마음 놓고 다닐 수 있는 안전한 교통환경을 만드는 데 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
부천원미경찰서는 녹색어머니 연합회와 긴밀히 협력하여 등하교 시간대 보행 안전 지도, 운전자 대상 ‘일시 정지’ 준수 홍보, 어린이 교통안전 교육, 학교 주변 시설물 점검 및 개선 등 실질적인 사고 예방 활동을 연중 지속할 계획이다.
