(브래이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 2일, 교육 현장의 산업재해를 예방하고 근로자가 안심하고 일할 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위해 ‘2026년 산업재해예방 계획’을 수립하여 시행한다고 밝혔다.
인천시 교육청의 분석 결과에 따르면, 2021년 72건에서 2024년 257건까지 급증했던 산업재해 발생 건수가 2025년을 기점으로 하락세로 돌아섰다.
이는 그동안 교육청이 추진해 온 학교 현장 맞춤형 컨설팅 등 각종 안전관리 대책이 성공적으로 안착하며 그 효과를 거둔 것으로 풀이된다.
이번 계획은 단순한 법적 의무 이행을 넘어, 현장의 안전보건 책임성을 강화하고, 체계적인 예방 시스템을 확립하는 데 중점을 두었다.
특히 계획의 핵심 사항인 ‘S․A․F․E’4대 추진 전략을 중심으로 현장 지원을 한층 강화할 예정이다.
4대 추진 전략은 System: 선제적 산업재해 예방시스템 운영, Air&Area: 유해위험요인 차단으로 안전한 작업환경 조성, Follow-up: 맞춤형 안전보건관리를 통한 근로자 건강권 보호, Education: 안전역량 강화 및 참여형 소통문화 확산 등을 주요 내용으로 한다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “산업재해 감소세는 현장 근로자와 교육가족 모두가 안전을 최우선 가치로 두고 노력한 결실”이라며 “2026년에도 근로자의 생명과 건강을 실질적으로 보호할 수 있는 현장 밀착형 안전보건 체계를 더욱 공고히 하겠다”고 말했다.
