안양시의회 복지환경위원회, 종량제봉투 수급 점검 긴급 간담회 개최

안양시의회 복지환경위원회(위원장 장명희)가 종량제 쓰레기봉투 수급 불안에 대응하기 위한 긴급 간담회를 열고 대응 방안 점검에 나섰다.

복지환경위원회는 지난달 3월 27일 시의회에서 자원순환과와 간담회를 개최하고 종량제봉투 생산 및 공급 현황, 유통 동향 등을 점검했다.

이번 간담회는 이란의 호르무즈 해협 봉쇄 장기화로 나프타(플라스틱 원료) 수입에 차질이 발생하면서 전국적으로 종량제봉투 품귀 및 사재기 우려가 확산됨에 따라 선제 대응 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

시 관계자는 “현재 안양시는 약 3~4개월분의 봉투 생산 원료를 확보하고 있어 단기적인 공급 중단 가능성은 없다”고 설명했다.

장명희 위원장은 “종량제봉투는 시민 일상과 직결된 필수재로, 수급에 작은 차질만 발생해도 큰 혼란으로 이어질 수 있다”며 “집행부는 상황이 안정될 때까지 시민 불편과 불안을 최소화할 수 있도록 행정 역량을 집중해 달라”고 당부했다.
