【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 지역 교육 혁신을 위한 에듀테크 기반 교육 프로그램을 본격 가동하며 미래형 교육 생태계 구축에 속도를 내고 있다.
군은 이달부터 증평창의파크 내 AI 실증연구센터에서 지역 학생과 주민을 대상으로 에듀테크 프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 프로그램은 군이 중점 추진 중인 ‘교육발전특구’와 ‘지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE)’ 사업의 일환으로 마련됐다.
특히 한국교원대학교 융합교육연구소와 협력해 구축한 AI 실증연구센터를 거점으로, 디지털 기반 교육 역량을 높이고 지역 간 교육 격차를 완화하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
4월 프로그램은 인공지능(AI) 기초 원리 이해, 코딩 교육, 에듀테크 기기 체험 등 학습자 맞춤형 과정으로 구성됐다.
학생뿐 아니라 지역 주민도 참여할 수 있는 체험형 교육을 통해 디지털 기술에 대한 접근성을 높이는 것이 특징이다.
군은 4월 중 에듀테크 기업이 참여하는 진단 솔루션를 추가로 운영하고, 여름방학에는 특별 강좌를 연이어 개설할 예정이다.
방학 기간 돌봄 공백을 보완하는 동시에, 학생들의 디지털 리터러시 역량을 한층 강화하겠다는 구상이다.
창의파크 역시 문화·체험 중심 공간을 넘어 지역 에듀테크 교육 거점으로 역할이 확대될 전망이다.
AI 실증연구센터를 중심으로 교육 프로그램과 기술 체험을 연계해 지역 교육 인프라의 활용도를 높인다는 전략이다.
군 관계자는 “교육발전특구와 RISE 사업을 동력 삼아 구축된 AI 실증연구센터가 지역 교육 혁신의 핵심 기지가 될 것”이라며 “지역 대학과 긴밀히 협력해 아이 키우기 좋은 ‘20분 도시 증평’에 걸맞은 수준 높은 교육 환경을 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 군은 ‘배움으로 성장하는 도시’를 목표로 창의파크, 공공임대형 지식산업센터(2027년 준공 예정) 등 지역 공공시설과 연계한 에듀테크 확산 사업을 지속적으로 전개할 계획이다.

Meanwhile, with the goal of becoming a "city that grows through learning," the county plans to continuously carry out edutech diffusion projects linked to local public facilities, such as the Creative Park and the Public Rental Knowledge Industry Center (scheduled for completion in 2027).
