춘천시는 후평동 일대 고압 송전선로 지중화 사업이 공동주택 사업주체와 한국전력공사 간의 극적인 협약 체결로 본궤도에 올랐다고 밝혔다.
그동안 이 지역은 주거 단지 바로 옆에 아슬아슬하게 세워진 임시 송전탑과 고압 송전선로로 인해 주민들의 불안감이 극에 달했던 곳이다. 도시 미관 저해는 물론 전자파 등 안전 문제에 대한 우려가 끊임없이 제기되어 왔다.
