‘2026 충남해양수산정책협의회’서 장항항 준설·대산항 활성화 등 43개 과제 합의
해경·대산청 등 유관기관과 파트너십 공고화해 민생 안정 및 안전망 강화 주력
충청남도가 서해안을 대한민국의 새로운 성장 동력으로 키우기 위해 관련 부처 및 시군과 대대적인 협력 체계를 가동했다.
충남도는 협력체계 가동을 통해, 그동안 각 기관별로 분산되었던 해양수산 현안들을 한자리에 모아 실질적인 해결책을 도출함으로써 ‘해양 일류 충남’으로의 도약을 가속화한다는 계획이다.
이를 위해 충남도는 2일 태안해양치유센터에서 ‘2026 충남해양수산정책협의회’를 개최하고 대산지방해양수산청, 도내 연안 시군, 해양경찰 등 20개 기관 관계자 80여 명과 함께 지역 해양수산의 미래 전략을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의는 단순한 정보 공유를 넘어 기관 간 칸막이를 제거하고 ‘원팀(One-Team)’으로서의 대응력을 높이는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다.
이날 협의회에서는 총 43건에 달하는 방대한 안건이 다뤄지며 밀도 있는 토론이 이어졌다. 특히 도의 숙원 사업 중 하나인 ‘장항항 퇴적토 준설’에 대해 대산청이 올 하반기 착수 방침을 공식화하면서 항만 운영의 고질적 난제가 해결의 물꼬를 텄다.
또한 대산항의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 선사 인센티브를 확대하고 합리적인 예·도선료 기준을 마련하는 등 항만 활성화를 위한 입체적인 지원책에 힘을 모으기로 했다.
최근 안전 이슈로 부각된 ‘해루질’ 관련 대책도 심도 있게 논의됐다.
태안해경이 제안한 사고 예방 조례 마련과 보령해경의 안전 시설물 확충 건의에 대해 도는 적극적인 행정 지원을 약속했다. 아울러 여름철 고수온에 대비한 양식장 관리 체계 점검과 고유가로 고통받는 어촌 경제를 위한 민생 대책 마련에도 모든 유관기관이 공동 대응하기로 결의했다.
