[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 올해 1분기(1~3월) 출생아 수가 90명을 기록하며, 전년 동기 58명 대비 55.2% 증가했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이러한 추세가 연말까지 이어질 경우, 지난 2022년 320명 이후 4년 만에 다시 연간 출생아 수가 300명을 넘어설 것으로 기대된다.
이 같은 출생아 증가는 혼인 건수 증가에 따른 것으로 보인다. 밀양시의 연간 혼인 건수는 2024년 254건에서 2025년 310건으로 크게 늘었다.
이는 밀양시가 최우선 과제로 추진 중인 ‘아이키우기 좋은 도시’ 조성 정책이 결혼과 출산을 장려하는 긍정적인 사회적 분위기를 형성한 결과로 풀이된다.
