브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넥슨이 서울 잠실 롯데월드 어드벤처 야외 구역 매직아일랜드 내 약 600평 규모 공간을 ‘메이플스토리’ IP로 꾸민 ‘메이플 아일랜드’를 3일 정식 개장했다.
‘메이플 아일랜드’는 ‘메이플스토리’의 세계관과 감성을 현실에서 경험하도록 설계한 상설 스토리형 테마파크다. 헤네시스, 루디브리엄, 아르카나 등 인기 지역 배경의 몬스터와 함께 어트랙션을 즐기고, 숨겨진 퀘스트를 해결하며 이야기의 주인공이 되는 특별한 경험을 선사한다.
현장에는 ‘현실이 되는 메이플스토리’를 콘셉트로 신규 어트랙션 3종을 포함한 총 4종의 어트랙션을 선보인다. 신규 롤러코스터 ‘스톤 익스프레스’에서는 돌의 정령을 찾기 위한 여정을 빠른 속도로 즐기며 ‘메이플 아일랜드’ 곳곳을 탐험할 수 있다.
