【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 오는 4일 탄금공원 일원에서 ‘2026 레이크사랑 걷기대회’를 개최한다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 충청북도체육회가 주최하고 충주시체육회가 주관하며, 충북 11개 시·군이 함께 참여하는 릴레이 형식의 걷기 행사다.
대회는 당일 오전 8시 참가자 접수를 시작으로 9시부터 공식 행사가 진행된다.
걷기 코스는 탄금공원 메인무대를 출발해 반환점인 충주호파크골프장 입구(중원문화길)를 거쳐 다시 탄금공원으로 돌아오는 왕복 5km 구간으로 구성됐다.
이번 행사는 전 국민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 선착순 참가자 1,000명에게는 소정의 기념품이 증정된다.
현장에서는 뉴스포츠 체험, 치매 인식 개선 홍보, 워크온 홍보, 암 관련 사업 홍보, 포토부스, 경품 추첨 등 다양한 부대행사가 운영돼 참가자들에게 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
시 관계자는 “참가자가 안전하게 걷고 즐길 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”며, “봄 정취를 만끽할 수 있는 행사에 많은 시민이 참여해 주길 바란다”고 말했다.
