올해 충주 지역의 벚꽃은 오는 4월 6일부터 8일 사이 절정에 이를 것으로 예상된다.
시는 만개 전후인 이번 주말부터 9일까지를 꽃구경의 최적기로 꼽으며, 도심·온천·호수를 잇는 3주간의 벚꽃 릴레이 여행을 제안했다.
가장 먼저 발길이 닿는 곳은 축제 현장이다.
