【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=국민의힘 김문근 단양군수 예비후보가 선거사무소 개소식을 열고 6·3 지방선거 승리를 향한 본격적인 세몰이에 나섰다.
김 예비후보는 지난 3일 충북 단양군 단양읍 삼봉로에 마련된 선거사무소에서 개소식을 개최했다. 이 자리에서 그는 “군수직은 연습하는 자리가 아니라 결과로 평가받는 자리”라며 “그동안의 성과와 검증된 추진력을 바탕으로 다시 한번 확실한 결과로 보답하겠다”고 재선 의지를 피력했다.
이날 개소식에는 남만진 중앙당 고문단회 회장, 정하모·이건표 전 단양군수, 김동성 전 군수의 배우자 박승숙 여사를 비롯해 전·현직 도·군의원, 당원, 지지자 등 500여 명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다. 박덕흠·이종배 국회의원도 영상 축사를 통해 힘을 보탰다.
축사에 나선 정하모·이건표 전 군수는 “단양의 중단 없는 발전을 위해서는 김문근 후보의 행정 경험과 경륜이 필수적”이라며 지지를 호소했다.
이에 김 예비후보는 “초심으로 돌아가 더욱 낮은 자세로 군민과 소통하며, 단양의 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 길을 흔들림 없이 걸어가겠다”고 약속했다.
단양군 매포읍 출신인 김 예비후보는 충북대학교 행정대학원을 졸업했으며, 충청북도 농정국장과 단양군 부군수 등을 역임한 행정 전문가로 통한다. 그는 지난달 27일 출마 기자회견에 이어 30일 예비후보 등록을 마치고 선거 운동에 박차를 가하고 있다.
