청와대가 6일 "이란에 대한 구호폼 등 인도주의적 지원과 한국 선반 통과를 연계시키는 방안은 검토된 바 없다"고 밝혔다.
청와대는 이날 오전 언론 공지를 통해 이같이 전한 후 "인도적 지원에 대한 검토는 중동지역 인도적 상황을 개선키 위한 목적에서 다뤄지고 있다"고 했다.
그러면서 "정부는 국제규범 등에 따라 호르무즈 해협 내 모든 선박에 대한 자유로운 항행·안전 보장·글로벌에너지 공급 정상화가 조속히 이뤄져야 한다는 입장"이라며 "이런 입장으로 관련국들과 소통·협력하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.
앞서 모 언론은 이재명 대통령이 지난주 청와대 참모·관계 부처 장관들이 참석한 비공개 특별대책회의에서 호르무즈 해협에 발묶인 한국 국적 선박에 대한 우려를 표시하며 이같은 지시를 했다고 보도했으나 청와대가 공식 부인한 것이다.
한편 정부는 중동 전쟁 관련 대책을 지속 논의 중이나 대미 관세 및 고환율·고유가·고물가 등 관련 근본 대책은 여전히 제시하지 않고 있는 가운데 6일 제14회 국무회의 겸 제4차 비상경제점검회의가 함께 열린다.
