(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교 과학영재교육연구소(소장 창의인재개발학과 한기순 교수)가 6일, 인천시와 협력하여 재외동포의 한국어 능력 향상과 지역사회 적응을 지원하기 위한 ‘2026년 한국어 스터디 모임 인천대 생활과학교실’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천대에 따르면, 이번 프로그램은 재외동포웰컴센터와 협력하여 재외동포 성인을 대상으로 진행되며, 과학실험을 매개로 실생활 중심의 한국어 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 융합형 교육 프로그램이다.
강좌는 초급과 중급 과정으로 나뉘어 운영되며, 초급은 2026년 4월 8일부터 5월 27일까지 매주 수요일, 중급은 4월 10일부터 5월 29일까지 매주 금요일에 각각 총 8회차로 진행된다.
교육은 재외동포웰컴센터 컨퍼런스룸에서 대면 방식으로 운영될 예정이다.
주요 교육 내용은 ‘과학실험을 통한 한국어 말하기’로, 참가자들은 다양한 실험 활동을 수행하며 자연스럽게 한국어 표현을 익히고, 협력적 문제 해결 과정을 통해 의사소통 역량을 강화하게 된다.

인천대학교 과학영재교육연구소 관계자는 “과학이라는 보편적 언어를 활용하여 재외동포들이 보다 쉽고 흥미롭게 한국어를 습득할 수 있도록 기획했다”며 “이번 프로그램이 재외동포의 한국사회 적응과 지역사회 참여를 확대하는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
