이는 장기화되는 중동 전쟁 및 고유가 지속에 따른 에너지 위기 타개를 위한 조치다. LG는 지난달 27일부터 실시한 차량 10부제를 5부제로 확대 시행하는 것이다.
기존과 같이 전기차 등 친환경 차량과 장애인, 임산부, 미취학 아동이 탑승한 차량은 대상에서 제외됐다.
LG는 기존에도 서울 여의도 LG트윈타워를 비롯한 사업장에서 점심시간, 퇴근 이후 일정한 시간이 되면 사무실의 전등이 자동으로 꺼지는 자동 소등 시스템을 적용해 불필요한 전력 낭비를 방지해왔다. 주요 출퇴근 동선에 셔틀버스를 운영하며 임직원의 편리한 출퇴근을 지원하는 동시에 자가용 이용을 자제하도록 해왔다.
