대전광역시교육청이 경계선지능 학생을 포함한 학습 지원 대상 학생들에 대한 실질적인 교육 지원 체계를 강화하기 위해 학교 관리자들의 역량 결집에 나섰다.
이를 위해 대전시교육청은 6일 한남대학교 서의필기념관에서 관내 초·중·고·특수·각종학교 교장 등 관계자 320여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026학년도 기초학력 보장 사업 학교 관리자 역량 강화 연수’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 연수는 기초학력 보장을 위한 학교 관리자의 리더십과 책무성을 높이고, 최근 교육 현장의 주요 화두인 경계선지능 학생 등에 대한 맞춤형 지원 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 시 교육청 교육국장과 동·서부교육지원청 교육장, 한남대학교 학사부총장 등 주요 관계자들이 대거 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.
연수는 대전기초학력지원센터 위탁 기관인 한남대학교의 기초학력 보장 지원 사업 소개로 시작됐다. 이어 교육부 관계자가 ‘기초학력 보장 정책 방향과 학교 관리자의 역할’을 주제로 정책의 흐름을 짚었으며, 현장의 생생한 목소리를 듣는 시간도 마련됐다.
특히 남양주 진건중학교 이보람 특수교사(유튜브 ‘경계를 걷다’ 운영)는 ‘경계선지능 학생의 이해와 지원, 관리자의 리더십’이라는 주제 강연을 통해 실제 지도 경험과 효과적인 지원 전략을 공유했다.
대전시교육청은 올해부터 초등학교 2학년을 대상으로 경계선지능 학생을 체계적으로 선별하고 진단·지원하는 시스템을 새롭게 구축해 운영 중이다. 이는 학습 부진의 근본 원인을 조기에 발견하여 맞춤형 처방을 제공하기 위한 조치다.
