청와대가 7일 원유·나프타 추가 확보 및 대체 공급선 확보 차원에서 카자흐스탄·오만·사우디에 전략경제협력 대통령 특사가 파견된다고 전했다.
강훈식 비서실장은 이날 오전 청와대 춘추관 기자간담회에서 "전략경제협력 대통령 특사로 산업통상부 등 관계 부처·국내 에너지 기업들과 함께 원유·나프타 추가 확보 관련 협의 차 오늘 저녁 출국해 카자흐스탄·오만·사우디를 방문 계획"이라고 전했다.
그러면서 "정부 고위급 협의가 말잔치로 끝나지 않도록 실제 석유·나프타 등 도입 기업과 긴밀히 협의하고, 유조선·석유 제품 운반선 국내 항구 도착 전까지 필요 지원을 아끼지 않을 것"이라고 했다.
또 "정부는 에너지 수급은 물론 석유제품·의약품 등 국민 생활에 필수 핵심 품목들 수급·가격 안정화를 위해 총력을 기울이고 있다"며 "지금까진 중동 상황이 거시지표즉 한국 경제 건강 상태 전반에 미치는 영향은 제한적이라 평가되고 있다"고 주장했다.
