(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 4월부터 10월까지 지역 내 초등학교 총 32학급, 670여 명을 대상으로 어린이 환경교육 프로그램 ‘해피그린 계양 에코스쿨’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, ‘해피그린 계양 에코스쿨’은 미래세대의 주인인 어린이들에게 기후변화의 심각성과 탄소중립의 중요성을 이해하기 쉽게 전달해 일상에서 녹색생활을 실천할 수 있도록 돕는 맞춤형 환경교육 프로그램이다.
교육은 ‘찾아가는 녹색교실’과 ‘환경기초시설 현장견학’ 두 가지 방식으로 운영된다. ‘찾아가는 녹색교실’에서는 인천기후환경네트워크의 강사가 신청학교를 방문해 기후변화의 원인 및 일상 속 녹색생활 실천 방법 등을 이론과 체험 중심으로 교육한다.
특히, 폐자원을 활용한 만들기 체험을 통해 환경 보호의 중요성을 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 구성했다.
