경북문화관광공사(사장 김남일)는 ‘사진으로 만나는 경북 여행’ 시리즈의 4월 추천지로 칠곡군 가산면에 위치한 가산수피아를 선정했다고 밝혔다. 공사는 꽃구경과 체험, 휴식이 어우러진 복합형 관광지로서 전 세대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 봄 여행지로 주목했다.
4월의 가산수피아는 벚꽃이 진 자리를 튤립과 조팝나무 등 다양한 봄꽃이 채우며 수목원 전체가 거대한 꽃정원으로 변모한다. 특히 입구 돌담길 구간은 진한 분홍빛의 겹벚꽃이 아치를 이루며 장관을 연출해 방문객들의 발길을 끌고 있다. 이어지는 분재원과 야생화 정원은 고목의 품격과 은은한 꽃향기를 동시에 느낄 수 있는 산책 코스로 꼽힌다.
