【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 방사선학과 졸업생 김현정 씨가 한국보건의료인국가시험원이 주관한 ‘2026년도 보건의료인국가시험 체험수기 및 쇼츠영상 공모전’에서 최고상인 최우수상을 수상했다고 8일 밝혔다.

김현정 씨는 ‘두 번째 국가고시: 내게 주는 가장 현실적인 선물’이라는 제목의 수기를 통해 영양사에서 방사선사로 진로를 전환하게 된 과정과 국가시험 준비 과정에서의 경험과 성장을 진솔하게 풀어내며 높은 평가를 받았다.
김 씨는 식품영양학과를 졸업한 뒤 영양사로 근무했으나 직무 환경과 진로에 대한 고민 끝에 새로운 도전에 나섰다. 이후 2023년 30대의 나이에 대구보건대학교 방사선학과에 입학해 학업을 이어갔으며, 제53회 방사선사 국가시험에 합격해 면허를 취득했다.
수기에는 국가시험 준비 과정에서의 실질적인 학습 전략도 담겼다. 스터디 참여를 통한 학습 습관 형성, 매주 모의고사를 통한 실전 감각 유지, 오답노트를 활용한 반복 학습 등이 핵심 합격 전략으로 제시됐다.
김현정 씨(33)는 “두 번째 국가시험을 준비하며 시험은 단순한 합격을 위한 과정이 아니라 스스로를 성장시키는 경험이라는 것을 깨달았다”며 “불안하더라도 포기하지 않고 꾸준히 학습을 이어가는 것이 중요하다는 점을 후배들에게 전하고 싶다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
심재구 방사선학과장은 “이번 수상은 개인의 성취를 넘어 대학의 교육 역량과 국가시험 대비 프로그램의 우수성을 보여주는 사례”라며 “앞으로도 학생들이 보건의료인으로 성장할 수 있도록 현장 중심 교육과 지도를 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 김 씨는 재학 중에도 교수학습지원센터 주관 ‘나의 대학생활 에세이 경진대회’ 대상과 ‘학습 노하우 쉐어링 경진대회’ 최우수상을 수상하는 등 우수한 학업 성과를 이어왔다.

Kim Hyun-jung received high praise for her essay titled “My Second National Exam: The Most Realistic Gift to Myself,” in which she candidly recounted the process of transitioning her career from a dietitian to a radiologist, as well as her experiences and growth during the national examination preparation process.
After graduating from the Department of Food and Nutrition, Ms. Kim worked as a dietitian; however, after contemplating her work environment and career path, she embarked on a new challenge. Subsequently, in 2023, in her 30s, she enrolled in the Department of Radiology at Daegu Health College to continue her studies, and she passed the 53rd National Examination for Radiologists to obtain her license.
Her essay also included practical study strategies for the national examination preparation process. Forming study habits through participation in study groups, maintaining practical test-taking skills through weekly mock exams, and repetitive learning using error notebooks were presented as key strategies for passing the exam.
Kim Hyun-jeong (33) said, “While preparing for my second national exam, I realized that the exam is not just a process for passing, but an experience that helps me grow,” adding, “I want to convey to my juniors that it is important to continue studying consistently without giving up, even if you feel anxious.”
Shim Jae-gu, Head of the Department of Radiology, said, “This award is an example that demonstrates the university’s educational capabilities and the excellence of its national exam preparation program, going beyond individual achievement,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen field-oriented education and guidance so that students can grow into healthcare professionals.”
Meanwhile, Kim has continued to achieve excellent academic results while still enrolled, including winning the Grand Prize in the “My College Life Essay Contest” organized by the Center for Teaching and Learning Support and the Top Excellence Award in the “Learning Know-how Sharing Contest.”
