【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시는 지난 4월 4일 평생학습관에서 교육발전특구 사업의 일환으로 ‘K-인문교육 프로그램’을 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 안동시가 주최하고 국립경국대학교가 주관해 지역 학생들의 인문학적 탐구 역량과 국제 교류 경험을 연계한 미래 인재 양성을 목표로 추진됐다.
이날 프로그램에서는 고등학생들이 진로와 흥미를 기반으로 인문 연구계획서를 직접 작성하고 실행하는 ‘K-인문 연구챌린지’와, 지역 문제를 인문가치 관점에서 탐구·실천하는 ‘인문가치 나눔ON’ 참여팀 선발 면접이 진행됐다.
‘K-인문 연구챌린지’는 기존 1차 선발된 11개 팀에 더해 29개 팀을 추가 선발할 예정이며, ‘인문가치 나눔ON’은 총 20개 팀을 선발한다.
또한 글로벌 인문 인재 양성을 위한 ‘글로벌 인문 리더’ 프로그램 참여 학생들을 대상으로 오리엔테이션도 함께 진행됐다. 해당 프로그램에는 지난 1월 선발된 관내 고등학생 40명이 참여하고 있으며, 이들은 4월 중순 5박 6일 일정으로 일본 오사카와 교토 등을 방문할 예정이다.
학생들은 도지샤대학과 교토대학, 나라여자대학 등을 찾아 현지 교수의 인문학 특강을 듣고, 오사카건국학교를 방문해 재일한국인 학생들과 교류하며 역사와 문화를 이해하는 시간을 갖는다.
오리엔테이션에서는 일정과 준비사항 안내와 함께 국립경국대학교 최호빈 교수가 ‘일본이 사랑한 시인, 정지용과 윤동주’를 주제로 특강을 진행했으며, 현지 활동 수칙과 안전 관리, 교류 프로그램 운영 계획 등을 공유했다.
참여 학생들은 “지역 인문 자산과 연구 활동에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있었고, 탐방 기간 동안 수행할 연구 방향을 구체화하는 데 도움이 됐다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
안동시 관계자는 “학생들이 지역 인문 자산을 기반으로 탐구 활동을 수행하고 인문 역량을 확장할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

This project, hosted by Andong City and organized by Kyungkuk National University, was implemented with the goal of fostering future talent by linking local students’ humanities inquiry capabilities with their experiences in international exchange.
During the program, interviews were conducted to select teams for the ‘K-Humanities Research Challenge,’ where high school students directly write and execute humanities research plans based on their career paths and interests, and for ‘Sharing Humanities Values ON,’ which involves exploring and addressing local issues from the perspective of humanities values.
For the ‘K-Humanities Research Challenge,’ 29 additional teams are scheduled to be selected, in addition to the 11 teams already selected in the first round, while a total of 20 teams will be selected for ‘Sharing Humanities Values ON.’ In addition, an orientation was held for students participating in the ‘Global Humanities Leader’ program, designed to foster global humanities talent. Forty local high school students, selected last January, are participating in the program and are scheduled to visit Osaka and Kyoto in Japan in mid-April for a 5-night, 6-day trip.
The students will visit Doshisha University, Kyoto University, and Nara Women’s University to listen to special lectures on humanities by local professors, and visit Osaka Kenkoku School to interact with Korean students residing in Japan and gain an understanding of history and culture.
During the orientation, in addition to providing information on the schedule and preparations, Professor Choi Ho-bin of Kyonguk National University delivered a special lecture on the theme of “Jeong Ji-yong and Yun Dong-ju, Poets Loved by Japan.” The session also shared guidelines for on-site activities, safety management, and plans for the exchange program.
The participating students shared their impressions, stating, “We were able to deepen our understanding of local humanities assets and research activities, and it helped us to concretize the direction of the research we will conduct during the visit.” An official from Andong City stated, “We will continue to provide support so that students can conduct inquiry activities based on local humanities assets and expand their humanities capabilities.”
