이재명 대통령이 9일 중동 상황 관련해 "단기·중기·장기적으로 대비해 국민이 더이상 고통 겪지 않고 희망적 미래를 누릴 수 있도록 최선을 다해야 한다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대에서 열린 국민경제자문회의 제1차 전체회의 모두 발언에서 이같이 말한 후 "오늘도 (미·이란 간) 휴전했다면서 폭격이 있었다는데 언제 이 상황이 정리될지 잘 알기 어렵다"며 "한편으로 보면 위기이나 또 한편으로 보면 기회"라고 했다.
그러면서 "중동 전쟁이 경제에 상당히 큰 위협을 가하고 장기적으로 대한민국 경제 체제의 근본 변화 시점이 된 것 같다"며 "잘 준비하면 이 국면을 기회로 만들어 새롭게 도약하고 새 시스템을 구축하는 정말 좋은 계기가 될 수 있을 것 같다"고 했다.
또 청년 일자리 문제 관련해선 "기업은 경력 있는 청년들을 요구하고, 청년들은 경력 쌓을 기회가 없다"며 "경력 쌓을 기회가 부족하면 국가 공동체가 그 기회를 만들어 주는 게 맞다"고 했다.
