(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회가 지난 9일 연수구 송도센트럴파크호텔에서 전국시도의회의장을 대상으로 하는 ‘의장협의회 제4차 임시회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천시의회에 따르면, 이날 회의는 지방의회 발전을 위한 의장협의회 현안 보고 및 안건 심의 등으로 이뤄졌다.
대한민국시도의회의장협의회는 전국 17개 시도의회의장으로 구성된 협의체로, 불합리한 법령 및 제도 개선을 위한 공동 활동 등을 통해 대한민국의 지방분권과 지방자치 발전이라는 하나의 목표로 활동하는 기관이다.
특히, 인천시의회는 그동안 시도의회의 인사권 독립, 시도의원 정책 지원 전문인력 도입, 시도의회의 자치입법권 강화 등 의장협의회에서 선도적인 역할을 수행해 왔다.
또한, 이번 제4차 임시회에는 인천시의회 최초의 대한민국시도의회 사무총장인 정해권 의장을 비롯해 임춘원 의회운영위원장, 김대중 건설교통위원장, 유승분·허식·조현영 의원, 의회사무처 간부공무원 등이 함께 참석해 각 시도의회와 지속적인 연대와 협력 시스템을 강화하기로 했다.
정해권 의장은 “앞으로도 전국 시·도의회의 뜻을 모아 지방자치와 지방의회의 헌법적 가치를 지키기 위한 공동 대응과 지속적인 촉구 활동을 이어갈 계획”이라며 “인천시의회도 책임 있는 역할을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 이날 열린 임시회에서는 공공심야약국 확대 및 안정적 운영을 위한 제도 개선 촉구 건의안(대구), 포천~철원 고속도로 건설사업 예비타당성조사 통과 촉구 건의안(강원), 농가소득 안정 및 국가 에너지 안보 확립을 위한 ‘영농형 태양광 특별법’ 제정 촉구 건의안(전북), 사전투표관리관 도장 직접 날인 의무화 등 ‘공직선거법’ 개정 촉구 건의(충북) 등 4개 안건을 논의했다.
아울러, 의장협의회 제1차 임시회 안건 처리 결과 보고와 2025 회계연도 세입·세출 결산 승인의 건 등도 함께 있었다.
