<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시 포천동 청소년지도협의회가 새학기를 맞아 지역 사회의 미래인 청소년들을 보호하고 안전한 교육 환경을 조성하기 위해 두 팔을 걷어붙였다.
포천동 청소년지도협의회는 지난 9일 포천중학교와 포천여자중학교 일대에서 민관 합동 청소년보호 캠페인을 성황리에 전개했다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 새학기 시작과 함께 학생들 간의 건강한 교우관계 형성을 독려하고, 최근 심각한 사회적 문제로 대두되는 학교폭력의 위험성을 알리기 위해 기획됐다. 행사에는 청소년지도협의회를 필두로 해당 학교 교사와 학생, 포천경찰서, 포천동 행정복지센터 직원 등 100여 명이 대거 동참해 뜻을 모았다.
참석자들은 등굣길 학생들에게 휴지와 볼펜 등 준비된 홍보 물품을 직접 배부하며 따뜻한 격려와 함께 학교폭력 예방 메시지를 전파했다. 아울러 현수막과 팻말을 동원한 가시적인 홍보 활동도 병행해 캠페인의 실효성을 한층 높였다.
권보경 포천동 청소년지도협의회장은 “궂은 날씨 속에서도 학생들을 위해 기꺼이 동참해 주신 관계자 여러분께 깊은 감사를 전한다”며, “이번 활동이 서로 존중하고 배려하는 학교 문화를 확산하는 밑거름이 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 학교폭력 없는 안전한 테두리를 만들기 위해 지속적으로 땀 흘리겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
행사에 함께한 양성환 포천동장 역시 “학교폭력 근절은 지역사회 구성원 모두가 눈을 맞추고 참여해야 할 중차대한 과제”라고 강조하며, “우리 아이들이 밝고 건강한 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 행정적 지원과 노력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 약속했다.
