포천시 내촌면 행정복지센터는 지난 9일 포천시 해병대전우회가 지역 내 어려운 이웃에게 전달해달라며 10kg 쌀 63포를 경기사회복지공동모금회에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이번에 전달된 사랑의 쌀은 지난 3월 개최된 제19대 포천시 해병대전우회장 취임식에서 축하 화환을 대신해 받은 뜻깊은 물품이다. 전우회 측은 개인적인 축하를 넘어, 이를 지역사회를 위한 나눔으로 승화시키며 '한 번 해병은 영원한 해병'이라는 끈끈한 전우애를 선행으로 증명했다. 기탁된 쌀은 내촌면과 포천동 일대의 저소득 계층 가구에 소중하게 전달될 예정이다.
