<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 강원도 횡성군 둔내면이 마을 주민들과 함께 푸른 숲을 가꾸며 일상 속 탄소 중립과 녹색 환경 조성에 팔을 걷어붙였다.
둔내면은 지난 9일 오전 10시 둔내복합체육공원에서 쾌적하고 생기 넘치는 생활 환경을 만들기 위한 ‘2026년 둔내면 나무 나눔 행사’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 단순히 관 주도의 식목 행사를 넘어, 주민들이 직접 묘목을 심고 가꾸며 자연 보호의 가치를 체감할 수 있도록 기획됐다. 둔내면은 준비된 나무 묘목들을 관내 이장들에게 우선 배분하고, 이를 다시 마을 주민들에게 무료로 골고루 나눠주는 릴레이 방식을 통해 주민들의 자발적인 참여를 이끌어냈다.

행사에 참여한 주민들은 직접 전달받은 묘목을 각자의 앞마당과 마을 공터 등에 심으며 '푸른 둔내면'을 만드는 데 작은 힘을 보탰다.
