<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 강원도 횡성군 갑천면 일대가 형형색색의 화사한 봄꽃으로 새 옷을 갈아입으며 상춘객과 주민들의 눈길을 사로잡고 있다.
갑천면은 지난 9일 오전, 지역 경관을 아름답게 개선하고 활기찬 봄기운을 전하기 위해 관내 일원에서 대대적인 ‘2026년 갑천면 봄꽃 심기 행사’를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
갑천면 산업팀 주관으로 마련된 이날 행사에는 갑천면 새마을지도자협의회와 새마을부녀회 회원들이 이른 아침부터 두 팔을 걷어붙이고 동참해 민관 협력의 훈훈함을 더했다.
참석자들은 갑천면행정복지센터 앞 주요 시가지와 도로변을 중심으로 화사한 페츄니아와 데이지 등 봄꽃 1만 2천여 본을 정성껏 식재하며 푸르고 쾌적한 마을 가꾸기에 구슬땀을 흘렸다.
원동재 갑천면장은 “바쁜 농번기에도 불구하고 아름다운 갑천면을 만들기 위해 봄꽃 심기 행사에 기꺼이 참여해 주신 새마을회 회원 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며, “활짝 핀 꽃들이 갑천면을 찾는 방문객들과 지역 주민들의 지친 일상에 따뜻한 위로와 화사한 봄의 생기를 듬뿍 전해주길 기대한다”고 전했다.
