경기도의회 교육행정위원회 김영기 의원(국민의힘, 의왕1)이 지난 4월 3일 의왕시 부곡초등학교를 대상으로 ‘상상형 학교놀이터 사업’ 도입 방안을 논의하기 위해 경기도교육청 관계자들과 간담회를 개최했다.
‘상상형 학교놀이터 사업’은 학생들의 놀 권리를 보장하고 상상력과 모험심을 키울 수 있는 창의적 놀이문화를 확산하기 위한 사업이다. 학교 안팎의 유휴공간을 활용해 학생 참여형 놀이공간을 조성하고, 학교생활 만족도를 높이는 데 목적이 있다.
이날 간담회에서는 의왕시 초등학교 현장에 적합한 놀이터 모델과 향후 추진 방향이 집중 논의됐다. 김 의원은 학생들이 보다 안전하고 자유롭게 뛰어놀 수 있는 환경 조성의 필요성을 강조했다.
김영기 의원은 “상상형 학교놀이터는 단순한 놀이시설을 넘어 아이들의 창의성과 사회성을 키우는 배움의 공간”이라며 “아이들이 안전한 환경에서 마음껏 상상하고 뛰어놀 수 있도록 의왕 지역 도입을 적극 뒷받침하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 김 의원은 경기도의회 교육행정위원회 위원으로 활동하며 안전하고 쾌적한 교육환경 조성을 위한 의정활동을 이어오고 있다. 특히 의왕 지역 초·중·고등학교 지원사업에 총 67억7천만 원의 예산을 확보하는 등 교육환경 개선을 이끌어왔다는 평가를 받고 있다.
김영기 의원은 “임기 동안 확보한 예산은 우리 아이들의 미래를 위한 투자”라며 “앞으로도 현장의 목소리를 반영해 노후 시설 개선과 안전 인프라 확충에 힘쓰고, 의왕 교육의 질 향상에 의정 역량을 집중하겠다”고 말했다.

Meanwhile, Assemblyman Kim has been active as a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly’s Education Administration Committee, continuing his legislative efforts to create a safe and pleasant educational environment. He is particularly credited with leading improvements to the educational environment, such as securing a total budget of 6.77 billion won for support projects for elementary, middle, and high schools in the Uiwang region.
Assemblyman Kim said, “The budget secured during my term is an investment in the future of our children.” He continued, “I will continue to reflect the voices from the field to improve aging facilities and expand safety infrastructure, and I will concentrate my legislative capabilities on enhancing the quality of education in Uiwang.”
