브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 지난 11일 서울어린이대공원 ‘KB국민은행 스타프렌즈정원’에서 임직원과 가족이 함께하는 봄맞이 환경 정비 봉사활동을 실시했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이날 봉사활동에는 KB국민은행 임직원과 가족들이 참여했으며, 어린이들이 자연 속에서 자유롭게 뛰놀 수 있는 정원 환경을 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.
참가자들은 정원 내 묵은 입과 낙엽을 정리하고, 주변 경관과 어울리는 식물을 식재하는 등 정원 가꾸기 활동을 진행했다. 가족 참여형 프로그램으로 운영돼 어린이들이 자연의 소중함을 직접 체험하며 배울 수 있도록 했으며, 봉사활동 이후에는 화분에 꽃을 심는 체험과 봄꽃 투어 프로그램도 함께 진행됐다.
아울러 KB국민은행은 서울어린이대공원을 찾은 어린이들을 대상으로 정원 놀이 프로그램 ‘숲속 보물찾기’도 후원했다. 해당 프로그램은 열매 찾기, 클로버 찾기, 돌 쌓기 등 다양한 미션을 수행하며 자연과 친해질 수 있도록 구성됐다.
KB국민은행은 ‘KB국민행복 희망 프로젝트’의 일환으로 임직원 후원금을 통해 2018년 경기도 과천에 위치한 서울대공원을 시작으로 광릉 국립수목원, 서울식물원, 서울어린이대공원, 매헌시민의 숲까지 총 5개의 어린이정원을 조성해왔다. 오는 5월에는 서울 성동구 소재 서울숲 내 6호 어린이정원을 신규 조성할 계획이다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “이번 봉사활동은 임직원과 가족이 함께 참여해 어린이들이 자연 속에서 환경의 소중함을 체험할 수 있도록 마련됐다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 미래세대를 위한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 포용금융 가치를 실천해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
