군은 오는 4월 29일까지 20일간 신청을 접수하며, 이번 사업은 청년들의 출퇴근 비용 부담을 완화해 장기근속을 유도하고 지역 일자리 활성화를 도모하기 위해 마련됐다.
지원 대상은 고령군에 거주하거나 거주 예정인 18세 이상 45세 이하 청년 근로자로, 4대 보험에 가입된 중소기업 종사자라면 신청할 수 있다. 근무지가 타 지역이더라도 주소지가 고령군인 경우 지원이 가능하다.
특히 군은 보다 많은 청년에게 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 최근 3년간(2023~2025년) 연속 지원을 받지 않은 신청자를 중심으로 대상자를 선발할 계획이다.
최종 선정된 대상자에게는 최대 8개월간 매월 5만 원의 교통비가 지원된다.
고령군 관계자는 “이번 사업을 통해 청년 근로자들의 경제적 부담을 줄이고 지역에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 기반을 마련하겠다”며 “앞으로도 청년들이 고령에서 미래를 설계할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
