케리스는 지난 13일 대구 지역에서 사회공헌 활동을 진행하고, 학업과 자립을 위해 노력하는 학교 밖 청소년을 대상으로 개인 장학금 100만 원과 검정고시 학습용 태블릿을 전달했다. 해당 물품은 대구 동구 학교밖청소년지원센터를 통해 지원됐으며, 학습 여건이 어려운 청소년들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이어 케리스는 안심제1종합사회복지관을 방문해 홀로 생활하는 어르신들의 결식 예방을 위한 급식 지원 후원금 200만 원을 전달했다. 후원금은 지역 내 취약계층 어르신들의 안정적인 식사 지원에 활용될 예정이다.
복지관 관계자는 “케리스의 지속적인 관심과 따뜻한 나눔에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “어르신들의 건강한 삶을 위해 후원금을 소중히 사용하겠다”고 전했다.
케리스는 정제영 원장을 중심으로 지역사회와 상생하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어오고 있으며, 향후에도 취약계층을 위한 지속적인 봉사와 지원을 확대해 나갈 방침이다.

The Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS, President Jeong Je-young) has fulfilled its social responsibility as a public institution by carrying out sharing activities for vulnerable groups in the local community to mark its 27th anniversary.
On the 13th, KERIS conducted social contribution activities in the Daegu region and delivered 1 million won in individual scholarships and tablets for GED study to out-of-school youth striving for academic success and self-reliance.
