14일 강릉시에 따르면, 시는 최근 강릉소방서와 합동으로 이·통반장, 자생 단체, 화재취약지역 주민 등을 대상으로 '전 시민과 함께하는 비상소화장치 사용 교육'을 성공적으로 마무리했다.
지난 2월부터 4월까지 이어진 이번 교육은 화재 발생 시 시민들이 즉각 대처할 수 있도록 각 마을에 설치된 비상소화장치 보관함 인근에서 현장 밀착형으로 진행됐다. 특히, 지루한 이론 위주의 교육에서 벗어나 실제 화재 상황을 가정한 생동감 넘치는 실습 위주로 꾸려져 참석자들의 호응을 이끌어냈다.

교육에 참여한 주민들은 비상소화장치의 구조와 작동 원리부터 올바른 점검 요령까지 꼼꼼히 익혔으며, 직접 소화 장비를 다뤄보는 체험을 통해 실전 감각을 크게 끌어올렸다.
