브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 지난 14일 홀로서기를 시작하는 청년들의 안정적인 사회 진출을 돕기 위해 ‘자립준비청년 지원 프로그램’ 발대식을 열었다고 15일 밝혔다.
해당 프로그램은 지난해 시작돼 올해로 2회째를 맞았으며, 보호기간 종료 후 홀로서기를 준비하는 자립준비청년들의 안정적인 사회 정착과 자립 역량 강화를 지원하는 사회공헌 사업이다.
이날 서울 여의도 KB국민은행 신관에서 열린 발대식에는 전국 200명의 참가자들이 참여해 새로운 출발을 응원했다. 이번 프로그램에 참여하는 청년들은 자립지원금과 함께 1년간 △진로 탐색 △학업 성취 △자격증 취득 △취업 컨설팅 △일 경험 연계 프로그램 등 맞춤형 진로설계 과정을 지원받는다. 특히, 올해는 경제적 자립 역량을 높이기 위해 금융교육 과정을 새롭게 마련해 청년들이 올바른 금융 습관을 형성할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “이번 프로그램은 사회로 나아가는 출발선에서 자립준비청년들에게 실질적인 도움을 제공하고자 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 청년의 희망찬 미래를 지원하고, 지역사회와 함께 성장할 수 있는 다양한 포용금융 프로그램을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, KB국민은행은 ‘KB국민행복 희망 프로젝트’를 통해 포용금융 실천에 앞장서고 있다. 지난 2월부터 청년 IT 인재양성 프로그램인 ‘KB IT’s Your Life’ 7기를 운영해오고 있으며, 수도권과 지방 간 교육격차 해소를 위해 지방 거주 청년을 위한 비대면 전용반을 개설하는 등 지역균형 발전에 기여하며 사회적 책임을 이어가고 있다.
