<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 횡성군 안흥면이 안흥찐빵마을 일대를 화사한 봄꽃 정원으로 새 단장하며 지역사회에 활기찬 봄의 생기를 불어넣고 있다.
15일 횡성군에 따르면, 안흥면은 지난 14일 지역 사회단체 및 주민들과 합동으로 안흥리 일원과 주요 도로변에 수국을 비롯한 다채로운 봄꽃을 식재하는 ‘봄길 및 꽃마을 조성’ 사업을 대대적으로 전개했다.

이번 활동에는 안흥면 새마을회, 번영회, 이장협의회 등 지역을 대표하는 주요 사회단체 회원들이 뜻을 모아 자발적으로 참여했다. 참가자들은 안흥찐빵마을의 핵심 관문인 실미교와 인도교 난간의 환경을 정비하고, 도로변을 중심으로 수국 170그루와 데이지, 페츄니아 등 봄꽃 1만 1,500본을 정성껏 심었다.

이번 봄꽃 식재는 마을 진입로를 밝고 쾌적하게 정비해 주민들에게는 일상의 활력을 제공하고, 찐빵마을을 찾는 방문객들에게는 따뜻하고 아름다운 농촌 경관을 선사하기 위해 추진됐다. 특히, 주민들이 마을 가꾸기에 직접 동참함으로써 지역에 대한 애착심과 공동체 의식을 한층 높이는 계기가 됐다.
