세종특별자치시가 투명하고 신뢰받는 공직 사회를 구현하기 위해 전 직원을 대상으로 청렴 교육을 실시했다. 15일 시청에서 열린 이번 교육은 공직자들의 반부패 의식을 고취하고, 공정한 업무 처리 역량을 한층 끌어올리기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 강단에 선 김정환 국가청렴권익교육원 청렴전문강사(세종시 자치경찰위원회 사무국장)는 실무 사례 중심의 강의를 펼쳐 눈길을 끌었다. 김 강사는 청탁금지법과 이해충돌방지법 등 반부패 관련 법령을 현장감 있게 설명하고, 공익신고자보호법을 포함한 청렴 제도 전반을 상세히 안내하며 직원들의 이해를 도왔다.
교육에 참석한 직원들은 실무 과정에서 맞닥뜨릴 수 있는 다양한 이해충돌 상황을 가정하고, 이를 방지하기 위한 실질적인 수칙들을 점검하며 청렴한 조직 문화 조성을 위한 의지를 다졌다.
김광남 세종시 감사위원장은 “청렴은 세종시 행정의 뿌리이자 시민들과 맺은 가장 신뢰받는 약속”이라며, “앞으로도 내실 있는 교육과 투명한 제도 운용을 통해 시민들에게 더욱 신뢰받는 시정을 펼쳐나가겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 세종시는 지난 2월 청렴사회 민관협의회 위원을 기존 15명에서 20명으로 확대 개편하는 등 거버넌스를 강화했다. 시는 이러한 민관 협력 체계를 바탕으로 반부패·청렴 정책을 지속적으로 추진하며 건강한 공직 문화 확산에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
