15일 춘천시에 따르면, 시는 4월 한 달 동안 춘천역 지하차도를 포함해 지역 내 핵심 배수펌프장과 빗물펌프장 등 주요 배수시설을 대상으로 정밀 사전 점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 이는 최근 빈번해지는 기습적이고 국지적인 집중호우 상황에서 시민들의 침수 피해를 사전에 완벽히 차단하기 위한 선제 조치다.
점검 대상은 근화동 일원의 제1·제2 배수펌프장, 효자동 및 퇴계동 일대 빗물펌프장 5곳, 그리고 상습 취약 구간인 춘천역 지하차도 펌프장 등 총 7개 시설이다.
