[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 조국혁신당 부산광역시당이 2026년 지방선거를 향한 본격적인 행보를 시작하며, 16일 오전 부산광역시의회 브리핑룸에서 기초단체장 출마자 공동 기자회견을 개최했다.
이번 회견에서 기장군수 출마를 선언한 정진백 예비후보와 금정구청장 출마를 선언한 박용찬 예비후보는 각각 지역 특성에 맞춘 혁신 비전을 발표하며 필승의 의지를 다졌다.
정진백 기장군수 예비후보, ‘미래 경영’ 통한 기장의 중심 도약 강조
정진백 기장군수 예비후보는 기장을 단순한 부산의 외곽이 아닌 ‘부울경 통합 시대의 중심’으로 재설계하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.
특히 기장의 풍부한 전력 생산 능력을 지역의 핵심 자산으로 활용하여 부울경 전력 수도를 구축하고, 이를 바탕으로 피지컬·메디컬 AI 데이터센터와 남부권 통합암센터를 유치하겠다는 구체적인 청사진을 제시했다. 또한 정관선 조기 개통 등 고질적인 교통 문제를 해결하기 위해 금융과 민자 유치 방안을 도입하는 등 ‘경영하는 군수’로서의 면모를 강조하며, 자립형 상호돌봄 시범 마을과 기장비치문화벨트 조성을 통해 완전히 새로운 기장을 만들겠다고 약속했다.
박용찬 금정구청장 예비후보, ‘사회권 선진국’ 구현과 주민 삶의 혁신 약속
이어 박용찬 금정구청장 예비후보는 자신을 ‘헌법 전문가’로 정의하며, 헌법이 보장하는 존엄한 삶을 구민의 일상에서 구현하기 위해 금정을 ‘사회권 선진국’의 선도지역으로 만들겠다는 목표를 내세웠다.
박 후보는 법률 전문가로서의 강점을 살려 한 달에 한 번 주민을 직접 찾아가 기본권을 상담해 주는 ‘금정 기본권 클리닉’ 운영을 핵심 공약으로 발표했다. 아울러 투명한 행정을 위한 ‘푸른 금정 정보시스템’ 구축, MZ 세대를 위한 크리에이티브 플라자 조성, 그리고 금정혁신 통합지원센터를 통한 로컬 브랜딩 등 주민의 삶의 질을 실질적으로 혁신하기 위한 다양한 방안을 제안했다.
부산 전역 기초의원 후보단 합류, 기득권 타파와 개혁 의지 표명
이번 기자회견에는 기초단체장 후보들 외에도 편국자 부산시 비례의원 후보를 비롯해 김정식(동래구), 변진웅(동구), 이효성(연제구), 손동호(사하구), 배수현(사상구), 김종구(기장군) 등 기초의원 후보자들이 대거 참여해 부산 전역의 선거 승리를 다짐했다.
부산시당 관계자는 이번에 배치된 리더십이 조국혁신당의 핵심 가치인 사회권 선진국과 지방자치 혁신을 실현할 실무 능력을 갖췄다고 평가하며, 거대 양당의 기득권 정치를 타파하고 오직 민생과 개혁으로 부산 시민의 선택을 받겠다는 강한 의지를 표명했다.

The Busan Metropolitan City Chapter of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party took its first major step toward the 2026 local elections by holding a joint press conference for local government head candidates at the Busan Metropolitan Council briefing room on the morning of April 16. During the conference, Jung Jin-baek, candidate for Gijang County Governor, and Park Yong-chan, candidate for Geumjeong District Mayor, announced their respective innovative visions tailored to their regions and expressed their firm commitment to victory.
Gijang Governor Candidate Jung Jin-baek: "A Managerial Governor Aiming for the Center of the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Region"
Jung Jin-baek, the candidate for Gijang County Governor, shared his ambition to redesign Gijang from a "periphery of Busan" into the "center of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) integration era." He specifically proposed a blueprint to establish Gijang as the "Power Capital" of the region by utilizing its abundant power generation capacity as a core asset.
Based on this, he pledged to attract physical and medical AI data centers and a Southern Region Integrated Cancer Center. Furthermore, he emphasized his role as a "Management-oriented Governor" by introducing finance and private investment solutions for long-standing transportation issues, such as the early opening of the Jeonggwan Line. He also promised to create a "completely new Gijang" by establishing self-reliant mutual-care pilot villages and the Gijang Beach Culture Belt.
Geumjeong Mayor Candidate Park Yong-chan: "A Social Rights Leader Promising Innovation in Quality of Life"
Following this, Park Yong-chan, the candidate for Geumjeong District Mayor, defined himself as a "constitutional expert" and set a goal to make Geumjeong a leading region for a "Social Rights Developed Nation," ensuring the dignified life guaranteed by the Constitution in the daily lives of residents.
Leveraging his expertise as a legal professional, Park announced the "Geumjeong Fundamental Rights Clinic" as a core pledge, where he will visit residents once a month to provide consultations on fundamental rights. He also proposed various measures to practically innovate the quality of life for residents, including the establishment of the "Blue Geumjeong Information System" for transparent administration, the creation of an "MZ Creative Plaza," and local branding through the Geumjeong Innovation Integrated Support Center.
Local Council Candidates Join Forces, Pledging to Break Interests and Drive Reform
In addition to the local government head candidates, the press conference was attended by a large group of local council candidates, including Pyeon Guk-ja (Proportional Representative for Busan), Kim Jeong-sik (Dongnae-gu), Byeon Jin-ung (Dong-gu), Lee Hyo-seong (Yeonje-gu), Son Dong-ho (Saha-gu), Bae Su-hyeon (Sasang-gu), and Kim Jong-gu (Gijang-gun), all vowing victory across Busan.
An official from the Busan City Chapter assessed that the leadership deployed this time possesses the practical capabilities to realize the party's core values—a "Social Rights Developed Nation" and "Local Autonomy Innovation." The official expressed a strong determination to break away from the established politics of the two major parties and win the choice of Busan citizens through a focus on public livelihood and reform.
