【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평삼보사회복지관이 17일 노인 인권·성인지 감수성 향상 프로젝트 ‘노(老)랑’ 프로그램을 본격 시작했다.
충북사회복지공동모금회가 지원한 이 프로그램은 지역 어르신들이 일상 속에서 인권 감수성을 높이고 서로의 권리를 존중하는 문화를 확산하기 위해 기획됐다.
프로그램은 증평 주공3단지에 거주하는 65세 이상 어르신 12명을 대상으로 11월 말까지 총 14회에 걸쳐 진행된다.
노인 인권 기본교육과 성인지 감수성 교육을 중심으로 공연 관람, 인식 개선 캠페인 등 체험형 활동을 병행해 참여자들이 자연스럽게 인권과 성평등의 가치를 이해하도록 구성됐다.
특히 체험과 소통 중심으로 운영함으로써 어르신들이 일상에서 겪을 수 있는 차별과 권리 문제를 스스로 인식하고 건강한 사회적 관계를 형성하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
오종식 관장은 “노년기에도 인권과 성에 대한 올바른 이해가 매우 중요하다”며 “이번 프로그램이 어르신들이 서로를 존중하고 보다 안전하고 건강한 지역공동체를 만들어가는 계기가 되도록 운영에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
