대구대는 지난 17일 경산캠퍼스 서문운동장에서 박순진 총장과 홍연기 애플라인드스포츠 대표, 이태홍 축구부 감독, 학생 등 양 기관 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 현물 전달식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 기부는 대구대 축구부 학생들의 경기력 향상과 훈련 환경 개선을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다. 애플라인드스포츠는 하프파카, 트레이닝복, 바람막이 등 스포츠 의류 5종, 총 285벌을 대학 측에 전달했다.
기부 물품은 축구부 학생들의 교육과 실습, 훈련 활동 등에 활용될 예정이다.
박순진 총장은 전달식에서 학생들을 위한 뜻깊은 기부에 감사의 뜻을 전하며 기부자에게 감사품을 전달했다.
한편 전달식 직후 같은 장소에서 열린 대구대와 위덕대의 대학축구 U리그 9권역 홈경기에서는 대구대가 4대1 승리를 거두며 기쁨을 더했다.
