【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=정의당 대구시당이 6·3 지방선거를 앞두고 후보 공동 기자회견을 열고 ‘대구 정치 변화’를 전면에 내세웠다.
정의당 대구시당은 20일 대구시청 앞에서 지방선거 출마자와 당원, 지지자들이 참석한 가운데 기자회견을 열고 “대구의 1당 독점 구조를 깨고 시민 삶을 바꾸는 정치로 나아가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이날 기자회견에는양희 동구청장 후보, 김성년 수성구의원 후보, 정유진 북구의원 후보, 한민정 대구시의원 비례대표 출마예정자 등이 참석했다.
선거대책위원장을 맡은 이길우 민주노총 대구본부장은 여는 발언에서 “대구는 오랫동안 보수 독점 정치 구조 속에 머물러 왔다”며 “노동자와 서민, 소수자의 목소리를 담는 정치로 변화를 만들어야 한다”고 말했다.
전세사기 피해자 모임 정태운 대표는 지지 발언을 통해 “현장에서 피해자 곁에 가장 먼저 있었던 정당이 정의당이었다”며 “일할 사람에게 기회를 줘야 한다”고 강조했다. 이어 기존 정치권을 겨냥해 “현장에서 체감할 변화가 부족했다”고 지적했다.

후보들도 지역 현안을 중심으로 변화를 약속했다.
양희 동구청장 후보는 “동구는 교통·교육·의료 등 기본 인프라가 부족한 상태”라며 “주민 삶을 중심에 두는 행정으로 구조적 문제를 바꾸겠다”고 밝혔다.
김성년 수성구의원 후보는 “대구 정치가 특정 집단 중심으로 운영되는 구조를 벗어나야 한다”며 “의회의 견제 기능을 강화해 ‘강한 의회’를 만들겠다”고 말했다.
정유진 북구의원 후보는 “주민 삶을 바꾸기 위해서는 예산과 제도로 뒷받침하는 정치가 필요하다”며 “청년·노동·기후·돌봄 문제 해결에 나서겠다”고 밝혔다.
한민정 비례대표 출마예정자는 “전세사기, 노동, 기후위기 등 시민 삶의 문제 해결에 집중하겠다”며 “돌봄과 주거, 노동이 보장되는 대구를 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
정의당은 이날 기자회견을 통해 “시민 삶을 바꾸는 정치로 대구의 변화를 이끌겠다”며 지지를 호소했다.
