브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넷마블은 신작 액션 어드벤처 RPG ‘왕좌의 게임: 킹스로드’의 온라인 쇼케이스를 성황리에 종료하고, PC 선공개 일정을 5월 14일로 확정했다. 모바일 플랫폼을 지원하는 그랜드론칭은 5월 21일이다.
이번 온라인 쇼케이스에서 공개된 ‘왕좌의 게임: 킹스로드’의 핵심 게임성은 △왕좌의 게임 IP를 활용한 흡입력 강한 서사 △오픈월드로 구현한 웨스테로스 △사실적인 액션 △원작 IP에서 영감을 받은 3개의 클래스(기사/용병/암살자) 등이다.
PC·모바일 크로스 플랫폼으로 출시되는 부분에 대해서는 ‘PC 중심의 사용자 경험’을 강조했다. 넷마블네오 장현일 PD는 “전투 설계와 조작의 깊이, UI 구성 모두 기본적으로는 키보드·마우스 환경을 기준으로 잡고 개발했다”고 설명했다.
BM의 경우에는 월정액과 패스, 꾸미기 아이템 등을 핵심으로 구성된 것이 특징이다.
이 밖에도 △4명의 이용자가 원작 세계관 속 환상의 크리쳐들과 전투를 펼치는 ‘기억의 제단’ △2인이 협력해 적군의 주둔지를 토벌하는 ‘정예의 은신처’ △레이드형 콘텐츠 ‘심연의 제단’ △자신만의 가문과 영지를 가질 수 있는 ‘레난스레스트’ 등의 주요 콘텐츠를 소개했다.
한편, 넷마블은 지난 2월 24일부터 ‘왕좌의 게임: 킹스로드’의 사전등록을 진행 중이다. PC 사전등록을 진행한 이용자에게 ‘북부 의상’ 코스튬 1종을 비롯해 ‘비약 선택 꾸러미’ 10개, ‘나이트워치의 보급품 상자’ 5개 등을 보상으로 지급한다.
