20일 군에 따르면 영동군은 최근 충청북도가 주관한 ‘2025 회계연도 지방세 징수실적 종합평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정되어 표창과 함께 시상금 200만 원을 받을 예정이다. 이번 선정으로 지난 2020년부터 7년 연속 우수기관으로 선정되는 쾌거를 이뤘다.

영동군은 체납액 정리와 징수율 제고를 위해 체납액 일제 정리 기간을 3회에 걸쳐 추진하고 고액 및 상습 체납자에 대한 부동산 및 금융 재산 압류, 체납 차량 번호판 영치, 공매처분 등 적극적인 징수 활동을 추진하며 체납액 일소에 모든 노력을 다한 점을 높이 평가 받았다.
군 관계자는 “군민의 성숙한 납세 의식과 함께 자주 재원 확충을 위한 행정의 노력이 더해진 결과”라며 “앞으로도 군민으로부터 신뢰받는 세정행정을 위해 공정하고 정확한 징수 활동을 펼치겠다”고 말했다.
