대구 수성구 새마을회(회장 윤종현)는 21일 범어네거리 일원에서 ‘에너지절약 실천 캠페인’을 전개했다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 어려운 경제 여건 속에서 에너지 절약의 중요성을 알리고, 구민들의 자발적인 참여를 유도하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 각 동 새마을회원 등 130여 명이 참여해 출근길 시민들을 대상으로 홍보 활동을 펼쳤다.
참여자들은 에너지 절약 실천 수칙이 담긴 홍보물과 현수막을 활용해 시민들에게 일상 속 작은 실천의 중요성을 알리고, 지역사회 전반에 절약 분위기 확산에 앞장섰다.
윤종현 회장은 “작은 실천이 모이면 큰 변화를 만들 수 있는 만큼 이번 캠페인을 통해 많은 구민들이 에너지절약에 동참하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 실천 활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
