민형배 후보는 이날 여수시갑 지역구의 주철현 의원과 함께 박람회 조직위원회가 위치한 국제관을 방문했다. 민 후보는 조직위로부터 사업 추진 현황과 시설 조성, 교통 및 안전 대책 등 박람회 준비 전반에 대한 보고를 받고 심도 있는 의견을 교환했다.
